Hotel Information

We have rooms at a conference rate at four hotels in Oxford, Mississippi, booked for Feb. 16 and Feb. 17, with checkout on Feb. 18.  The hotels are owned by the same company, and they are only a few miles from campus.

The conference rate is the same at each hotel: $100 per night plus tax

When making your reservation, reference: SEJC Conference

Cut-off date for conference rate: January 23, 2017

The hotels are:

Hampton Inn

110 Heritage Drive

Holiday Inn Express

112 Heritage Drive

Hampton Inn

103 Ed Perry Boulevard

Town Place Suites Marriott

105 Ed Perry Boulevard

The two hotels on Heritage Drive are in the western part of Oxford, off the main business street (Jackson Avenue).

The two hotels on Ed Perry Boulevard are in the eastern part of town, across the street from the conference center, where the Friday awards banquet, Saturday workshops and Saturday luncheon will take place.

Hotel parking is free.

All the hotels are just a few minutes from campus (the eastern part of town is pretty close to the western part of town!). Free shuttles will travel back and forth from hotels to campus.

The rooms are very nice. All have a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, cable with HBO and complimentary internet access.

In addition, I have reserved a few rooms at The Inn at Ole Miss on campus. The rate is $109/night for standard accommodation, $159/night for a one-bedroom suite. If any advisers would like to stay there, let me know and I will give you the group code. Some of the hotel rooms will be for speakers. The Inn is a short walk (almost across the street) from the Meek School of Journalism and New Media where some Friday daytime events, and our business meeting, will take place. The cut-off date for Inn reservations is January 16.

If you plan to stay at a hotel other than the ones listed above, please let me know.
