Pack your bags and head to the heart of the Southeast for a weekend of storytelling, connection and inspiration at the 2026 Southeast Journalism Conference, hosted by Georgia Highlands College in Cartersville, Georgia, from February 5–7, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Southern Storytelling: From Front Porches to Front Pages,” celebrates the region’s rich journalistic tradition — from community voices to digital innovation. Over three days, student journalists and advisers from across the Southeast will gather for competitions, workshops, keynote speakers and conversations that matter.
